Families with things opening back up and everyone ready to get outside, please remember to let us know if you're going on vacation or withdrawing for the summer. As you know we cannot guarantee space, and we did want to caution that we are receiving enrollment inquiries DAILY due to limited space throughout the county and parents returning to their jobs. As stated in your registration, we require 2 weeks written notice for withdraw. We recommend emailing notice to billing@swlearns.com. If you're remaining with us this summer please know the staff are making plans for a pretty spectacular summer!!! πŸ˜ŽπŸ’šπŸ’› ... See MoreSee Less

Miss April, was it twister?

We love this picture...how many different things do we think Miss April is managing here? The kids are gathered, and it seems one of them is her son Devin, she’s got her arm on whatever activity is coming up, her gaze is down the table at something, all while the other arm is navigating a child arriving to the table! Miss April in action!! #TBTMissApril20yrs ... See MoreSee Less

Families, in accordance with the CDC and Governor Inslee's announcement, we have made the decision to allow those staff FULLY vaccinated to unmask. The CDC defines 'fully' as having been at least 2 weeks since the 2nd shot, or 2 weeks since the Johnson & Johnson (requiring only the one shot). More than 90% of our staff are fully vaccinated. Each of those vaccinated has provided us with their proof of immunization. Staff not yet vaccinated will continue to be temp checked and required to wear a mask. While the announcement stated "schools" still being mandated, our daycare has been within the guidelines of the group size recommendations since the beginning, simply due to its segregated layout of age groups and our ratio laws; which are more restrictive than public schools. Non-staff, to include family members, will still be required to wear a mask when entering the building or any of its classrooms. We are working on a method to track family members vaccination via Procare, but do not have that in place as of yet. Since the youngest of children are still not able to be vaccinated, we felt the prudent method was a slow transition, beginning with those vaccinated staff our children are already exposed to. We will continue to take in information day-by-day, and as so often has been the case, do our best in trying to make the safest choices. Thank you, once again, for your continued cooperation and support as we begin this transition to the new normal. ... See MoreSee Less

This one is a little grainy because digital cameras didn't exist yet. Circa 2003/04? The little boy April is holding is her son Devin, now nearly 19 years old and able to carry April around! Given his mother's strong work ethic and reliability, Devin literally grew up in our daycare, getting a day off only when his mama did. In addition to nearly 20 years with us, April managed to raise 2 wonderful children at the same time! πŸ’šπŸ’› ... See MoreSee Less
