Families with things opening back up and everyone ready to get outside, please remember to let us know if you're going on vacation or withdrawing for the summer. As you know we cannot guarantee space, and we did want to caution that we are receiving enrollment inquiries DAILY due to limited space throughout the county and parents returning to their jobs. As stated in your registration, we require 2 weeks written notice for withdraw. We recommend emailing notice to billing@swlearns.com. If you're remaining with us this summer please know the staff are making plans for a pretty spectacular summer!!! 😎💚💛 ... See MoreSee Less

Families, in accordance with the CDC and Governor Inslee's announcement, we have made the decision to allow those staff FULLY vaccinated to unmask. The CDC defines 'fully' as having been at least 2 weeks since the 2nd shot, or 2 weeks since the Johnson & Johnson (requiring only the one shot). More than 90% of our staff are fully vaccinated. Each of those vaccinated has provided us with their proof of immunization. Staff not yet vaccinated will continue to be temp checked and required to wear a mask. While the announcement stated "schools" still being mandated, our daycare has been within the guidelines of the group size recommendations since the beginning, simply due to its segregated layout of age groups and our ratio laws; which are more restrictive than public schools. Non-staff, to include family members, will still be required to wear a mask when entering the building or any of its classrooms. We are working on a method to track family members vaccination via Procare, but do not have that in place as of yet. Since the youngest of children are still not able to be vaccinated, we felt the prudent method was a slow transition, beginning with those vaccinated staff our children are already exposed to. We will continue to take in information day-by-day, and as so often has been the case, do our best in trying to make the safest choices. Thank you, once again, for your continued cooperation and support as we begin this transition to the new normal. ... See MoreSee Less

From our friends at Support for Early LearningChildren who are read to at least three times a week by a family member are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading compared to children who are read to less than 3 times a week.

We are grateful to announce that our SWLC staff, who have worked so hard throughout this pandemic, have received their invitation to schedule their COVID-19 vaccination at Legacy Salmon Creek. Spots will fill quickly as we are not the only childcare scheduling, but we sent the scheduling link out to our staff within minutes of receiving our invitation. Our hope is all will get an appointment without further delay. 💚💛 ... See MoreSee Less

Wow !!!! Very cool 😎

Families, under a Presidential directive, childcare workers have finally been prioritized for vaccination!

Under authority of Labor & Industry and recommendation of our advice nurse and DOH, SWLC will be requiring staff immunization for COVID, except where it is not recommended (i.e., nursing mothers).

Quote from Governor's announcement:

“Therefore, we are adding educators and licensed childcare workers to Washington’s Phase 1B-1 immediately."
